Abstract

Purpose: The study examined the relationship between organisational communication and fiscal decentralisation in Uganda, taking selected government aided primary schools in Busoga Sub-Region.

Methodology: Following a mixed research design, data was collected mainly using a questionnaire and partly an interview guide. Findings: It is revealed that there is a positive and significant relationship between organisational communication and fiscal decentralisation. Limitations: The study only examined the direct relationship between organisational communication and Fiscal Decentralisation, in the context of public Primary Schools in Busoga Sub region. Originality/Contribution: The study examines the relationship stated in the context specified for the first time in Uganda, above all using a mixed design approach to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of decentralized financing of public services.
